Step into my garden

Yellow

The many colors of Spring...The first color that I notice is yellow. From the witch hazel, forsythia, to daffodils.

My garden may not always be blooming,

but I still have the color of sunshine inside.

Even on a rainy day, a country view whether in the city, town or country, is a view with a little bit of mother nature's beauty that makes you smile.

Knowing that the beauty is fleeting. I love to soak up the colors, the pink swaying in the wind, which will soon fade to green. It will be a long year before this beauty will be back and each year I am amazed at the beauty as if I was seeing it the first time.

Finding a spot for the newest addition of blue and white is a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Live life...one stone at a time

One of my favorite books.
I'm learning to perfect the art in my little piece of the country.

Spring time is when the white linens come out of the closet in preparation of the spring breezes through open windows. I'm ready.

The tole ware has found it's home in the bathroom, where the black balances the white tile.

The original black and white tile...I wouldn't change a thing. I love the challenge of working with what I have, rather than gutting and starting from scratch. The yellow wall color is a custom color that I mixed from various cans I had leftover from other rooms. I couldn't find what I wanted at the store so I kept mixing until I got it just right.

A country home has lots of places to sit, relax and dream.
